Announcement: The 22nd Amateur Radio Club Sarawak (ARCS) Annual General Meeting 2016

The 22nd ARCS AGM 2016 will take place as below;

Date : 20th February 2016 (Saturday)

Time: 1300hrs-17450hrs

Venue: Bilik Latihan, Institut Pendidikan Guru, Kampus Batu Lintang (Malaysia Teachers Institute, Batu Lintang)

Agenda:

1. Welcoming speech (President)

2. Verify Last AGM minute

3. Secretary Report (2015)

4. Financial Report (2015)
5. Elect a new council and to appoint auditors (2016-2018)

6. Others matter

The nomination form for office barrier (2016-2018) to be returned to 9M8MA before 13th February 2016.

The club had been invited by Telekom Malaysia to give a brief introduction on 12th December 2015 at their HQ, Jalan Batu Lintang. Thanks to 9W8VAV for arranging this event.

Radio Communication Practice & Simulation Program during Disaster

This program was organised by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Sarawak Region & invited ARCS to co-organise the program. The program was held at Kampung Peninjau Lama, Bau on 7th November 2015 - 8th November 2015. The program was also joined by staff from other telecommunication company such Celcom, Digi, Maxis & Telekom. 
The program covered all over Bau including Tasik Biru & Tondong. The aim is to provide an overview of the Bau District response to emergency in the event of flash flood.

Beside using voice communication via radio, we also use Fldigi Narrow band Emergency Messaging Software (NBEMS) between Control Centre to Operation Centre & vice versa. The info will be convert to Radiogram Form as test & we can actually print out for reference.

Radio Amateur Exam Preparation Course Series 16/2015 (Part 3)

The RAE Class was held on 6th December 2015 at IPG Kampus Batu Lintang. The course started from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The class was conducted by 9W8CH,9M8WAT, 9W8PTS & other stations that came to support. Thanks to the 'sifu' & all station for the support.
